I KNEW it. I was hoping this would happen, especially with Sexy Girl, but I wanted ROCK STEADY in the first place instead. Oh well. This definitely works and is deserved!
NEW LOOK was good and I really hope she wins at least one, (hopefully two ^_^) BUT, ROCK STEADY was a much better PV imo.

I worry most about the category she shares with Hikki, since she's so popular...

nvm, I found it's based on votes... anyone can vote by the way. I voted (the registration form was so hard for me rofl cus it's in Japanese XD)
I am guessing she will only win the R&B one, but it would be nice if she won every single one haha. I can dream right? As long as a Japanese artist wins, I will be happy I guess... the Western singers have their own awards -_-. VMAJ has the "J" in there for a reason... Also, does anyone find it strange that sometimes, she is put in the R&B category when her song that was nominated isn't even R&B at all? :O like Hide&Seek haha.

Yeah as you said , Britney has a lot of fans all over the world and this will be a good oportunity for her to win her 2 nominations.
But what's the point of having MTV VMAJ if american singers will get the award.
