Who's Namie Amuro?
安室 奈美恵 (A-mu-ro Na-mi-e) or Namie Amuro is a Japanese singer and dancer from Okinawa. Born on 20 September 1977 , she started her career in 1992 with the group 'SuperMonkeys' and debuted as a solo singer in 1995. Named the most successful Japanese female singer of all time and sold over 35 million records, she still remains as one of the most popular and best selling singer even to this day. Yeah oh is so catchy n the mv is great. The best choreography since 2010. I just love it. The make up n the style is great. So 80s.
I am loving the Year-oh MV! Finally the directors/editors didn't edit choreography out of the video and left an entire dance sequence in the video
Ok ah....besides ripping off Jason Derulo's "don't wanna go home" just a bit in terms of chorus...I REALLY LIKE YEAH OH! I think it's great her look changed to this more young style! Me love Amuro!
Lol! The Banana Boat song came out waaaaay before Jason Derulo's song. Namie's not ripping of Jason Derulo. She's samping The Banana Boat song, just like Derulo did.
^OMG finally! Someone said it! I hope she credits it though. Or else she might be under attack from the netizens.... :s
I do understand that this "banana boat" song is in the public domain, p.s. i made the original claim that it's kinda rippin off Derulo.....although its considered a sample, the way it was used is the same, and its a song from a few months ago. I love Amuro, but I mention this because I too fear she could be ostracized for these similarities!
actually after seeing the whole video i change my mind, not similar songs.
