As much as I hate to say this, these photos are highly reminiscent of Ayumi's Mirrorcle World. It feels like Avex is pitting them against each other again.
Nevertheless, these pictures are GORGEOUS. Namie always gave the impression of sexy/chic/cool and never that much glam. I love to see a new side of her.
other than the curls in the hair, I see no similarities bet. Hamasaki-san's and Amuro-san's pictures...

Her tattoes were removed with photoshop, or some similar program. I guess avex thinks it'll be less glamorous/gorgeous etc with them there. They were removed for the 60s70s80s-covers as well.
Her tattoos were also removed for all three PVs for 60s70s80s. She still has them, as you can see in BLACK DIAMOND. However, avex just doesn't like them I guess, and they wouldn't fit really well with the covers.

wow, they removed the tattoos.. i really like them :( i read somewhere tht most Japanese ppl find tattoos an omen or smthing like tht. and many ppl do not like Namie bcz of her tattoos. so maybe Avex removed the tattoos to increase the sales. im sure itll work. If I'm not mistaken, her tattoos were removed because of the VS promotions. She also had to cover her tattoos when she appeared on shows like Kouhaku and stuff. Since one of the new songs of the best album has another VS tie-up they probably covered them because of that. I personally don't think it has anything to do with Avex themselves, she's been showing them for ages already, if they didn't like them they would've make her cover them long time ago.
OMG. Namie looks GORGEOUS! Love love love the covers! <333 I guess Avex finally decided to upgrade her personal site due to her high sales and such. :P Its about time they paid more attention to her (instead of focusing on Ayumi Hamasaki 24/7 >_>) GO NAMIE!
Hmm, yes, the tatto-removal could be a VS thing, since she has shown them on a lot of her album and single covers already, however, if my eyes do not deceive me, they were removed from the Funky Town single and her tattoes on the Play CD-cover seem to have also been covered up and removed. Maybe it has something to do with increased sales then?
