UTADA "Come Back To Me"

More than 4 years after UTADA's debut U.S album "EXODUS", Hikki finally came out with a new english song called "Come Back to Me" !

"Come Back To Me" will be the first single from her second U.S album. Although it sounded like a typical mainstream R&B track, I think people in the U.S will be able to accept it much better than "Easy Breezy" from her first album.

The album will be released on 4/03 in Japan and 24/03 in the U.S!

all she needs to do is slap timbaland's name on her songs ~ and she'll get lots more attention!

i do hope the album is better than exodus though~ exodus was not my cup of tea, other than exodus 04~ easy breezy was cute but the lyrics was just so~~ UH!

It's a bit of a disappointment... the verses are better...but the "Baby come back to me" chorus are WAY too repetitive at the end. The music is alright...I agree...it's ur typical R&B sound...Still, I hope she other surprises in store for us!

While it may be a typical R&B song, I think that's what Utada needs in order to break through first. She's needs something that is distinctively "American". I mean, when I heard this song, I could easily imagine it being played on the radio here in America, and it was catchy too! That's a huge plus for the song, especially if Utada wants to get recognition here. Once Utada establishes herself in America, then she can get more experimental/creative and such, like her Japanese songs.

It sounds very generic, which isn't a bad thing for a breakthrough in the US market but yeah. It's not bad. The lyrics are kinda so-so... I love her voice in this though! You can definitely tell she's matured.

Agree that it sounds like a typical R&B song, but that's the smart way to go right now if she wants to make it in the U.S. I hope she makes it... I can picture this on the radio here ^^. (And thanks be to God it's nothing like Easy Breezy! XD)

Yeah this song is okay, like it just doesn't have the same deep meaningful lyrics like her another songs. It's kinda simple and a bit boring.

Exodus was different and I liked that because it wasn't like everything else. This sounds more like a mainstream song, it's like they're really trying to push her into doing more mainstream stuff or something. Well I'm pretty sure this song will grow on me but I'm just looking forward to her new album and new songs. Where did you get this song from?

This song is fine. I liked easy breasy more. I liked the lyrics better in this songs. Her voice does sound very good though. Hope her album has many sells.

Utada's new album will be a huge success and beat BoA's record if you consider Rihanna's 'take a bow' was billboard #1 once. Come back to me is much better than eat you up.

anyway~good luck to utada~
cozz BoA's new album will be released on the same day as utada's. And, BoA's one will be packed with her best album. BoA really wants to win but she forgot that her Japanese market has been taken over by our queen, Amuro Namie a long time agoXDDD
