BoA 'Eat You Up' American version

Here's the American version of BoA's 'Eat You Up' mv directed by Diane Martel:

The american version don't really looks as well as the asian's. It's really poorly directed, horrible editing and cheap CG. Too many random scenes threw into it, hence making it looked like a cheap amateur video! Disappointing...

MY GOD! THIS IS SO HORRIBLE!
The dance was so much worser than in tha Asia version. The whole musicvideo is a so awful...

once again I see the proof that Asian Music Showbisnes is the BEST in the world!

I'm officially embarrassed to be a korean living in America if BoA releases this shit. That video was horrible!! So many bad things about it.

I kind of liked the dancing portion of the video with her on the...moon? The rest of it is lame. She should have released the Asian video here instead.

i dont know why... but i like it!
its not so horrible, its O.K
BOA looks very beautiful and cool in the same time, the dance is great..!

so i can say that the video is good, but the asian version i like better!
but what we can do? we can just say goodluck to BOA:]]

She kinda reminds me of Catwoman in the scene with the leather? dress and the moon in the background.

on another post, i mention she's not going to make it on the top chart in US. but after watch this video, I can already "confirm" she will be fail!

after watch this video, I'm kinda like the "Asian" version, i think the US version are cheesy, and HATED her clothes, and they make her look so freaking old. poor boa, she can do better.

oh well, good luck to you boa, you probably dont need luck now, i think you need "miracle" now.

That was.......BAD. The asian version PAWNS over this one.

EXACTLY! WHAT EVER HER FACE DIRECTOR IS, WAS TRYING TO RUIN BOA!! I HATE HER SO MUCH RIGHT NOW!!

i heard they even took the American version of the site, i think they are going to air the Korean one...

thank God hopefully.

if this airs i have a fear. this will ruin BoA

and i'll be damned if she's ruined.

VAIO: WAT! R U KDDING ME!?
Do Me More PV is great! shut up, man! U'r such a tasteless fan

to vaio:
do me more PV was low budget PV to promo the album, its not great, but its not that bad. compare to boa's pv, i have to say do me more was way better, and looks different.

boa look just like any asian girl that grow up in the state, i do not know what makes her so special in this video, its really "typical".

this is namie's fan site, i dont even understand why is boa's post even on this blog. i dont hate boa, but im no fan of her.

this video even worse than utada's "easy breezy"...

Utada's video was a million times more better edited than this horrible video. At least we could focus on Utada without the scenes changing every second and giving me a headache like BoA's did.

They should replace the US version with this version, then MAYBE she wont fail in the US...

^ It doesn't matter if BoA DID release the Asian version in the place of the US one. Either way, she will fail.

Like seriously--she's talking about an orgasm/bj here. =_= LIKE:
"I'll eat you up", "So yum", "I'll take you to my room".

Honestly, Americans do not really like sick lyrics like these. Not to mention it looks like BoA is trying awfully hard to be/sound like Britney Spears.

Anonymous said...

^ i don't know =[ actually these words are pretty calm compared to the words I've heard in other songs. that actually talk about giving a bj and crap like that, and are really descriptive and use alot of vulgar words. i've heard way dirtier.=[

Although this video is really horrible, Boa still looks so beautiful.
The asian version shows street style, on the other hand, The American version shotted so urban style and there are more close up shot to Boa in American version than Asain ver.
I just want to know what does the director think about???

When she did the debut in jp in 2002, her dances and looks were like what Amuro did. When Amuro came back with "Queen of Hip Pop", BoA's fame worsened...
In early 2008, even she has released a album with 17 tracks and 2dvd, the sales still sux.

Her debut in USA now is exactly the same as BRITNEY.
But the real Britney has come back with Womanizer. BoA never succeeds. That's it=]

Good thing is that after all the negative responses on streaming sites for the US PV that that bitch Diane Martel directed they decided to scrap it and replace it with the Asian version.. This actually really good news! Now all she needs is some heavy promotion and I think she can do really well..

BTW The reason why Utada Hikaru failed in the US is because her management did nothing to promote her. She's coming out with a new US album I think this year or next year and hopefully she'll promote it better then Exodus.

Show your Utada and BoA support!

Everyone has their own interpretation of this song. I don't think it has to do with oral sex but just getting busy in general. And whoever said that vulgar lyrics aren't appreciated in the U.S. hasn't listened to anything here. A lot of popular music has explicit lyrics or is riddled with innuendo.

The American version of the video is bad. I hope that Boa gets enough promotion for her single since that video will make her the laughing stock.

Wow, when did Boa stopped releasing crap?
I thought she was still releasing bad poppy stuff. I love that song, and the Asian PV (my fav of the two) reminded of Michael Jackson more than Brit.
If she releases it in Europe, I'll buy her single.
I don't know why Asian artists such as Utada and Boa don't release in Europe, where there would be a place in the musical market for them, since we're fond of edgy stuff.
Godd Luck Boa.

YAY!!!!!!!!! SM was smart to listen to the fans and scraping that crap American version!!!

Anonymous said...

If her debut in US is managed by Avex, it will be much better.
Nevertheless, the quality of SM entertainment even cannot reach the international standard.

The song is pretty good. After listening to the song over and over again. I agree the video needs help but at least boa's videos isn't as bad as britney's gimme more. at least she's not wearing skanky clothes.

the song is growing on me but the video looks like she recorded it in her basement with a camcorder and had her older brother edit it.

i like BoA but when i mention her name to my american friends they think i'm talking about Bank of America (BoA).

anyone know if utada is releasing a second american album in december???

Krazoom said...

I doubt Utada's next American album will be out in December.. I'm thinking more like February/March. Lets hope her management promotes her this time instead of just expecting US stardom to fall on her by releasing the album with no promotion.
